Abstract

The existence of the Covid-19 virus has made the performance of the central government and regional governments increase, the central government and regional governments have a very important role to keep the community from contracting the Covid-19 virus. The East Bintan District is one of the areas that has the highest number of Covid-19 cases in Bintan Regency. In this study, the author examines how the public's perception of the performance of the Bintan Regency Government in tackling the spread of Covid-19. This research uses Bimo Walgito's theory with 3 indicators. This study uses a descriptive research method with a quantitative approach, with data collection techniques based on the distribution of questionnaires. The data analysis technique in this study used a validity test and reliability test using SPSS software and described the results of the perception of the people of the East Bintan District on the performance of the Bintan Regency Government in tackling the spread of Covid-19. The results showed that the perception of the people of the East Bintan District on the performance of the Bintan Regency Government in tackling the spread of Covid-19 in the first indicator was included in the Good Likert scale characteristic category with a total calculation of 63.36%, in the second indicator also included in the Good Likert scale characteristic category. with a total calculation of 62%, and the third indicator is included in the category of characteristics of a good Likert scale with a total calculation of 60.4%. From the results of the calculation of the answers to the respondent's statement as a whole, it belongs to the category of characteristics of a good Likert scale with the calculation results of 62.36%.
