Abstract

This research is aimed at designing instructional media in teaching speaking skills to twelfth grade students at MAN Tanjungpinang. The design of learning media in the form of the ACGUSAY Game can be considered to make students interested, motivated, and able to actively participate during the learning process, especially speaking skill. The subjects in this study were students of class XII IPS 1 and students of class XII Bahasa with total of 45 students. The researcher focused on offering help material in the first semester at twelfth class. The method used in this research is research and development (R&D) using the ADDIE model by Ma et al. In this model there are five steps, namely analysis, design, development, implemention, and evaluation. The data collected from interview, validation sheets, and questionnaire. The practicality results of the learning media in the form of the ACGUSAY Game are very high with 90.48% from class XII IPS 1 and 91.5% from class XII Bahasa. The learning media in the form of the ACGUSAY Game is motivating, interesting, and easy to use for students.
