Abstract

Gender empowerment is an innovation in a social life-oriented setting that focuses on public engagement in the political, economic, and leadership spheres. This article focuses on the condition or gender phenomena in Tanjungpinang City, which has the greatest number of COVID-19 cases in the Riau Islands Province in 2020. The researcher's technique is a qualitative literature study based on secondary sources, including news, reports, and documents that are subjectively assessed using a logical model and a model for explanation building based on current case studies. The findings indicate that female empowerment has an effect on parliamentary representation, decision-making, and income distribution, all of which have a significant impact on the state of the Tanjungpinang City government system. This indicates that gender empowerment requires a high degree of individual knowledge and ongoing participation.
