Abstract
The purpose of this research was to find type of code-mixing .This research was a descriptive qualitative research. This study discussed the transition of the so-called Code-Mixing language contained in Indonesian novel “Edensor”. The study analyzed the type of Code-Mixing that underlying behind the using language transitions. The theory in paper was the theory of Muysken (2000).while the transition of code-mixing focus on writing Indonesian to English and vice versa.There was 192 data code-mixing in novel Edensor, from the data there was three types code-mixing , is : Insertion include Insertion refer to word(noun that xi express greeting,noun express name of the object , verb, word reduplication, insertion of idiom and clause) alternation and congruent lexicalization.
