Abstract

Determining the effect of Blooket as a learning media in improving students’ vocabulary mastery at SMPN 03 Tanjungpinang is the aim of this research. Quasi-experimental quantitative method was used in this study, The purposive sampling technique is employed in this research, on 40 students of the academic year 2023/2024, consisting of 20 students of class VIII B (Experiment) and 20 students of class VIII C (Control). The data of this study was taken using vocabulary test instruments for students, namely in the form of pre-test and post-test. The postest results showed that the average score in the experimental class was higher than the control class (80.75 > 63.25). Based on the results of the Independent t-test hypothesis test, the Sig (2-tailed) value is 0.000 < α (0.05), which means there is a significant difference between the two groups. It can be concluded that Blooket significantly effect on students’ vocabulary mastery at SMPN 03 Tanjungpinang.
