Prof. Dewi Nopita, S.Pd., M.Pd Keywords: Quizizz App, Reading Comprehension, Descriptive Text This research aims to determine the effect of using the Quizizz application on students' reading comprehension at SMP Negeri 2 Karimun. This research uses a quasi-experimental method starting from pre-test, treatment, post-test related to descriptive text material. This research was conducted over 3 meetings. The sample is class VII. A is a control class as well as an experimental class, the number of students is 30 students for the 2023/2024 academic year. There are 10 pretest and post-test questions related to the material being taught. This data was analyzed using SPSS version 25. Based on the results of data analysis, the results of the paired sample T test showed a statistically significant average difference between the pre-test and post-test scores, with a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000. These findings confirm that the null hypothesis is rejected, supporting the effectiveness of prediction strategies in improving students' reading comprehension.
