Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive e-module as a learning medium for descriptive writing skills for 10th grade students at SMKN 3 Tanjungpinang. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), but this study only reached the Develop stage. The development process began with a needs analysis through interviews with teachers, curriculum and syllabus analysis, and the determination of relevant learning materials. The e-module developed integrates multimedia elements such as images, text, and interactive exercises to enhance student motivation and understanding. Validation by subject matter and media experts yielded excellent results, with a material validation rate of 85% and a media validation rate of 92%, both falling into the “Highly Valid” category. The research findings indicate that this e-module is effective in improving students' motivation, understanding, and writing skills in descriptive texts. Although implementation is currently limited to one school and interactive features could be further developed, this e-module could serve as an innovative solution for English language learning and a reference for the development of digital learning media in other schools.
