Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem pengukuran Self Potential (SP) berbasis mikrokontroler ESP32 dengan modul ADC ADS1115 beresolusi 16-bit. Sistem dirancang untuk membaca beda potensial dalam orde milivolt menggunakan konfigurasi diferensial serta menyimpan data secara otomatis ke media penyimpanan. Elektroda SP1 hingga SP4 dipasang secara linear dengan jarak antar elektroda 5 meter untuk memperoleh distribusi potensial tanah secara spasial. Tahapan penelitian meliputi studi literatur, perancangan hardware, electrical, dan firmware, uji kinerja alat, kalibrasi, serta uji lapang dan analisis data. Pengujian dilakukan pada dua lokasi berbeda, yaitu tanah bauksit di Kampus UMRAH Senggarang dan tanah pesisir berpasir di Pantai Tanjung Siambang. Hasil kalibrasi menunjukkan tingkat akurasi pengukuran di atas 99,25%, yang menunjukkan bahwa sistem memiliki tingkat ketelitian yang baik. Hasil pengukuran lapangan menunjukkan adanya perbedaan nilai Self Potential pada kedua lokasi, yang mengindikasikan bahwa sistem mampu mendeteksi variasi karakteristik tanah. Secara keseluruhan, sistem yang dikembangkan bekerja dengan baik, stabil, dan layak digunakan sebagai alat monitoring Self Potential untuk pengukuran lapangan. This study aims to design and implement a Self Potential (SP) measurement system based on the ESP32 microcontroller using the 16-bit ADS1115 analog-to-digital converter. The system measures potential differences in the millivolt range using differential configuration and automatically stores the data. SP1 to SP4 electrodes were arranged linearly with a 5-meter spacing to obtain spatial soil potential distribution. The research stages include literature study, hardware, electrical, and firmware design, system testing, calibration, field testing, and data analysis. Field tests were conducted at two different locations: bauxite soil at UMRAH Senggarang Campus and sandy coastal soil at Tanjung Siambang Beach. Calibration results showed an accuracy level above 90,25%, indicating good measurement precision. Field results showed differences in Self Potential values between the two locations, demonstrating that the system can detect variations in soil characteristics. Overall, the developed system operates properly, stably, and is suitable for field Self Potential monitoring applications.
