Abstract

The objective of the research was to improve students’ writing skill in procedure text using video. The subject the research was the students in SMA N 2 Tanjungpinang in Academic year 2021/2022; class XI IPS 2 which consisted of 32 students. This research was Classroom Action Research ( CAR ) and decided to conduct action research by implementing the model proposed by Kemmis and McTaggart. There was two cycles with four meetings in each cycle. There were four boards in each cycle; planning, action, observation, and reflection. The result of the research showed that implementing video to improve students’ writing skill. The score indicate that there was improvement 65.55 in pre-test, 71.96 in post-test 1 and 76.28 in post-test 2. It can be concluded that using video had improved the students’ writing skill in procedure text.
