Ramadhana, Rhea, 2022. AN ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS’ PUBLIC SPEAKING ANXIETY IN LEARNING ENGLISH. Tanjungpinang: Department of English Education, Teacher Training Faculty of English Education, Faculty of Education Teacher Training, Raja Ali Haji Maritime University. Advisor I: Dewi Murni, S. S, M. Hum. Advisor II: Satria Agust, S.S, M. Pd. Keywords: Public Speaking, Speaking Skills, Anxiety, Anxiety in public speaking. This study aims to see the effect of anxiety in public speaking. The design of this study was fill the questionnaire to the students 5th semester in Maritim Raja Ali Haji University as the research sample. The method of this research is qualitative. The first meet is observe the students and do the pre – test. Questionnaire was the 2nd test to find students’s anxiety score. An interview was also administered at the end of the study. To find the result of the score is using PRPSA (Personal Report of Public Speaking Anxiety). Analysis of the tests score in this study identified that the results of students public speaking anxiety is high because of students problem such as; lack of vocabulary, lack of willing, and cannot speak comfortly by stan alone. It can be concluded that students in anxiety need a group to do their public speaking.
