Abstract

This study aimed to design an electronic module as an interactive learning material in recount text at 8th grade. The subject matter that become the main focused of this product was recount text. This study was conducted in the second semester of academic year 2022/2023 in SMPN 2 Tanjungpinang, especially at class 8.1 which consisted of 35 students. Moreover, the development method used in this study was Research and Development with 4D Model which involved three of the stages, namely Define, Design, and Develop. The researcher used questionnaire as the data collection instrument which defined to experts’ validation questionnaire and students’ practicality questionnaire. The result of the data analysis showed that the material and media validation score was 98% that categorized as “Very Valid”, and the students’ practicality score was 85% that categorized as “Very Practical”. Based on this data, it can be concluded that the product designed in this research was valid, practical, and eligible to be used in the learning process.
