Abstract

This research was motivated by students' lack of interest in learning English and also students have difficulty in expressing ideas for writing. This is known from the results of interviews with English teacher in class VIII, that English teacher only utilize learning resources in the form of package books and LKS. Therefore, the researcher aims to create a spinning wheel media that can foster students' attractiveness in the form of creative visual media. This research used is Research and Development (R&D) with the 4-D model (Define, Design, develop and Disseminate) developed by Thiagarajan. . However, the stages are limit to Develop stage because of the limited time in the research. The research subjects involved include validators material experts and media experts. The instrument used to determine the validity using a Likert scale with 5 categories arranged in the form of a checklist. The resulting data analysis is in the form of qualitative and quantitative data. Based on the validity analysis, spinning wheel learning media can be categorized as very valid. The percentage results of learning media from material experts are 94.11% and the assessment of media experts is 92.5%.
