Abstract
This study aimed to create flashcards for teaching writing skills to eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Bintan. The research followed a research and development approach as described by Borg and Gall (2003), using the ADDIE model, which stands for Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. This model was utilized to organize and systematize the instructional design process. The researcher conducted qualitative data analysis, collecting data from interviews with an English teacher, validation sheets, and questionnaires on student perceptions of the product. In this study, the researcher developed educational materials, specifically flashcards, to engage students in the learning process. These flashcards received positive feedback from both material and media experts. Upon implementation, students showed great interest and were highly engaged in their learning activities. Thus, the flashcards design and material were valid.
