The study's success criteria were the proportion of students who actively participated in their education and their passing grades. In the preliminary study, 49% of students received a score of 70 or higher, and in the first cycle, 74% of students did the same. This indicates what proportion of students in the first cycle fulfilled the requirements for success. In the first cycle, 90% of students were actively participating in the learning process, compared to 30% in the baseline survey (≥ 50%). This outlines the requirements for student achievement. The results of the observation checklist showed that the Mind Mapping technique was effective in increasing student participation in class. In the first cycle, student involvement rose by 90%. In class VIII F SMPN Tanjungpinang, it may be inferred that the thought mapping technique can enhance students' writing achievement and engagement.
