Abstract

This study aims to develop an Animaker-assisted learning media for teaching listening skills on the topic of asking and giving opinions for eighth-grade students. The development process followed the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. However, this research was limited to the Development stage only. Both quantitative and qualitative data were used in this study. The data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and validation by a media expert and a material expert. The research subjects were 30 students from class 8.G and an English teacher from SMP Negeri 1 Bintan Timur. Based on the validation results by the material expert, the media received a total score of 98%, indicating that the material falls under the “Highly Valid” category. Meanwhile, the media expert gave a score of 78%, which is categorized as “Valid.” Therefore, the Animaker-assisted learning media developed in this study is considered valid based on expert evaluation.
