Abstract
Students' mathematics learning outcomes at the junior high school level are still relatively low. One of the contributing factors is the suboptimal implementation of learning strategies that align with students' learning readiness. This study aims to determine the effect of differentiated instruction using the Guided Discovery Learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of seventh-grade students. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically the non-equivalent control group design. The sample consisted of two classes: the experimental class (7.6) and the control class (7.7), each with 32 students. The research instrument was a learning outcome test on the topic of Social Arithmetic. Data were analyzed using a one-tailed independent sample t-test, resulting in a significance value of 0.0045 at α = 0.05. The result shows that sig. < α, indicating a significant positive effect of differentiated instruction using the Guided Discovery Learning model on students' mathematics learning outcomes. Therefore, implementing learning strategies tailored to students' readiness levels can be an effective solution to improve mathematics learning outcomes in junior high school.
